I feel like this blog post has been written before. Not just by me but by so many bloggers and social influencers lately. Change is constant and very necessary.
What Needs to Change?
For me, everything. I wrote a post not too long ago about how I had let this blog become something I didn’t want it to be. I am not ok with that. I went from posting content for the sack of posting to not posting at all.
November 7, 2018, was my 1 year blogging anniversary. I had a huge post that I wanted to write and was planning a giveaway. As the time ticked away, I became so critical of my ideas that I just skipped it all together.
I will be honest, I thought about shutting down the website. I called my hosting provider and discussed deleting all of my data and parking the domain.
What Has Changed Already
Since my last post, so much has happened. I switched jobs, celebrated 15 years of marriage, helped my son move across the country (again), and started on a path to get more organized and out of debt.
My YouTube channel is suffering and so is this blog. I have all but forgotten about them both and I don’t know why. I enjoy recording videos and editing them. I love writing and even posting on social media. So I keep asking myself why I am finding little to no joy in what I am doing.
The answer is simple. It isn’t the content I want to create. So the change I am going to try to make first is to get back to what makes me happy.
