After some sleep on the plane, we arrived at Heathrow International in London. After 13 hours of sitting, we were ready for a day on foot.

After a quick freshen up and a visit to the customs department, to explain that we will be right back, we set off to see all the wonders. But first lunch!
After a quick train ride from the airport to Paddington Station, we found a cute little pub. Traditional fish and chips for me and shepherd’s pie for the hubs. I will say the place was so cute but the food was a bit bland.
The Palace, the Abbey, Tower Bridge and so much more. We booked a hop on hop off tour that was about $69 per person, but so worth it. We got to see so much without paying a taxi all those fees. I wish I had pictures to show of these places but sadly I do not.
Back to the airport. A little tired to say the least (if the bags under my eyes didn’t give it away). Ready for the next flight and a nap. We made it back with plenty of time to spare. Additionally, as you can imagine, we had carry-on bags to move around. We found something at Heathrow we had never heard of (because we had never needed it before), luggage storage. You can pay a small fee and the airport will hold your bags while you explore the airport or even the city.
And that’s it! Day two done! London is just as pretty from the air. Can’t wait to land in Cape Town when I wake up.
